The Scotty 4010-3 is the most simple and effective method of deploying a foam surfactant/wetting agent onto a fire scene from a 3/4" garden hose.
Firefighters use foam surfactants in their water to lower the water's surface tension, allowing it to spread and penetrate much more easily.
To operate, simply open the inlet side of the mixing chamber, insert a foam cartridge, reseal the inlet end cap, attach to a 3/4" garden hose and spray foam.
The 4010-3 will flow water at a rate of 3 gpm (12 Lt./m) when attached to a standard 3/4" garden hose line.
The Scotty 4010 Foam Cartridges are biodegradable and are available separately.
The 4010-3 is recommended for use with water pressures between 35 psi and 85 psi (the higher the pressure, the greater the reach of stream).
Each 4010-3 Fast Foam unit comes with a 3 gpm Nozzle, the Mixing Chamber, a 3/4" Garden Hose Quick Connect with Shut-Off and 6 foam cartridges.
Instructions for use:

1. Thread Nozzle onto Discharge Side of mixing tube.

2. Unscrew End Cap on Inlet Side (Shut-Off End).

3. Insert foam cartridge into the Mixing Chamber tube.

4. Re-thread and tighten End Cap.

5. Attach water supply hose to 3/4" Quick Connect Valve. Turn on supply hose.

6. Open Quick Connect valve to spray foam. Allow up to 30 seconds of water flow for foam to start.

7. When foam cartridge dissolves and foam output decreases, turn off water supply, unscrew Inlet Cap and insert a fresh foam cartridge.
